Sending Warm and Feathered Hugs

I am so glad to find Stacey Yacula’s designs on MFT stamps. Her design is so cute.

I used the color pencil to color the cute image. For trees, I used the darker color on the trunks and light color on the branches. Stamped twice.

I sponged the light blue color on the sky and die cut the hills on the other white cardstock. I installed the every piece on the card. Then I stamped the sentiment by Misti. I tried only stamp the most top part and left the lower edge blank that made sentiment look like stand in the snow.

I added the white glitter on the card to make snow everywhere.

Love You Still

Valentine’s Day is coming, everyone starts to make a valentine’s card. Today I like to make a non traditional valentine’s card.

I think love a person you will come with him/her all the time no matter good or bad condition. So I made this card that I thought even bad weather, I like to go with you because I love you still.

This card has very simple and clean look. I sponged Distress Oxide Ink Broken China on the right lower corner of white panel. After I was satisfied, I sprayed some clean water on it. And dried with a clean paper towel.

I stamped the water droplets stamp on the card and highlighted by white gel pen.

At last, I stamped sentiment on the left upper corner.

Dream: Fly in the Sky

I saw CAS stencil challenge for sponging. It’s my favorite thing for card making.

Clarity Stamp has a lot of beautiful stencil. I decided to use one to make a card.

I tore the copy paper to sponge the mountains first. I pulled the color from the stencil to inside. Then I used the negative piece cover the image and added the color on the plants.

After that, I started to add the color on the sky. I stamped the tiny birds in grey ink and eagle in black to make the dimension looking.

I still felt to plain of my card. But I don’t like to make too fancy on my card. I love to keep simple and clean. So I used the score board to score the four edge to make 3D feeling.

Winter Village

Winter of 2014, I was in Reno. We had the heavy snow that continued a week. It’s broken the history record and snow reached to my knee. It was first time to see that heavy snow for me. At beginning, I was so excited. But later I found it was trouble for my life. There wasn’t enough shave car to clean whole city right away. We need dig our car out, but we don’t have any tool. We lost electric couple days. Luckily we have enough food, water and gas.

From 2005, I moved twice and never saw the heavy snow like that.

When I saw the Penny Black stamp two weeks ago on Hallmarkscrapbook, I bought it right away.

I stamped the whole image on the watercolor paper and water-colored it. I used the wet brush tap on the Caran d’Ache watercolor crayons. I got the colors and mixed them on the watercolor panel.

Finally I splashed some Holbein permanent white gouache on the card.

Fairy Magic

At the end of 2018, Kelly open her online store at all new look and she offered great deal. I bought some Lavinia stamps. I love those unique stamps that’s from UK.

I used this fairytale stamp to make today’s card. At first, I tapped a little Crystal Brusho powder yellow, orange and green on the glossy paper. Then sprayed the clean water to make the background. It’s more bright and shiny on the glossy paper than normal cardstock. It turned out very beautiful in fact. My phone’ s camera didn’t catch it so well.

I stayed the paper overnight to dry. I sponged the blue color around the card panel. Then I stamped fairy on the card panel and left it overnight again.

This Fairy tale stamp is sold out at, but they still have a lot of different fairy in there.

Also I find a link to Lavinia website from UK(see below).

For background, I used the MaimeriBlu watercolors. I mixed Faience blue, Prussian blue and Ultramarine deep together for sky. Phthalo Turquoise and Turquoise Green for ocean.

I die cut the cute sailing boat and sponged the edge.

Anyway, I am happy to make this card. I think winter should be chill and snow outside.

I used Caran d’Ache watercolor crayons to color the ice pond and penguin. I used the aqua brush to tap the crayons, then colored the small images. For ice pond, I used the crayons directly on the paper. The paper I used this Bristol paper.

I sponged the Distress Oxide Ink on the card base to make snowy sky. I sponged the white ink to make bokeh snow feeling.
